It’s the last Friday on the month so that means it’s time to look back on my month through the lens of my camera.
FIVE SNAPSHOTS OF MARCH
FAMILY TIME
Here you can see the “studio audience” during the filming of the Amazing Race casting video. We had a lovely visit with Zach’s parents and Grandparents that weekend—the video filming was definitely a highlight.
WORK TIME VISITS
Now that my in-laws live in Iowa (as opposed to Pennsylvania) the opportunities for them to visit me at work are few and far between. When they were in town they made sure to pay me and my flippered friends a visit.
A MAN IN CAMO
Z was headed off to his “one weekend a month” National Guard duty only to come back in the door moments later begrudgingly grumbling that his truck was completely dead. In order to ensure I had a transportation for my days off that meant dropping everything, hopping in the car and driving him down to Silver Spring. I would totally make an awesome full-time military wife…
TAKE IT ALL OFF
I am loving my new spring-time ‘do. I had gotten a trim right before the wedding back in December and was in desperate need of a change. You know that point you get to when you can seem to do anything with your hair to make it look presentable and reside to permanent ponytails? Yeah, that’s where I was at. Now, inches upon inches later it is lighter and perfect for the (hopefully starting soon) change in seasons.
DOLPHIN POSE WITH DOLPHINS
An activity I started with my co-workers is regular yoga stretching in front of the large underwater viewing windows. Not only is it good for us to breathe and stretch (after all we have a pretty physical job) but it’s good for the animals too!
As you can see Amy’s dolphin pose certainly peaked their curiosity…
I have to say that I am happy that March is over. Rarely does anything exciting happen and the weather is often less than desirable.
For us here in K & Z land April means the start of wedding-related events for my brother and starting the process of packing up two years worth of stuff in our current house and relocating.
Big things!
